Leaders column for The Moscow News
A new "Tandemocracy" column has just started at the newspaper where I draw cartoons. In it, our russian leaders, who are obligatory featured in every cartoon riding a tandem bike, are never tired of new amazing adventures. Such as, for instance, putting out forest fires, finding bits of ancient cultures on the sea bed, testing new cars and submarines and much more. Sparkling humorous ideas are supplied by Tim Wall, the visual interpretation is by your humble servant. Here's some of the recent ones:
London houses and sketches from Moscow trip
People in transport
Tandemocracy: Mermaid
Sketches from St.Petersburg
Here's some sketches from my travels around St.Petersburg and Moscow. Will take several posts, I think. Here's the beginning:
Isaakievsky temple from a roof of a neigbouring building, a very quick sketch:
A woman selling corn on the street:
Church in Kolomna, a place in St.Petersburg. The point that I was sketching from is remarkable for the number of bridges you can see from it (although I wasn't doing a sketch of bridges). It's a kind of crossroad of channels and you see nine bridges from here.
A sketch of a table in a place called "Pub 9"
Three sketches from a place called "Tokyo cafe":
Boys of Stalingrad
Singing with Bob Dylan
Airport taxi driver

RCA final show
Although it's a bit late, but here's the photos from the RCA show we've been to in beginning of the month. Not a lot of illustrators this year - I counted three, I think - but their work was brilliant. Unfortunately I managed to find the name of only one of them (Matthew Dale).
